So the problem is unique to this particular desktop. There are also other errors noted in the setup log file. What happens is I'm running the 1st part of installation, where the quiet install, or caching, is done.

This is when the error occurs. The dialog box comes up saying that setup is running. Then the dialog box simply closes. No error message is displayed on the screen. None of the Office setup files are cached.
